Off Leash K9 Training is the most-loved dog training company serving North Myrtle Beach and the north end of the Grand Strand.
North Myrtle Beach is home ground for us. Our owner lives just up the road in the Little River area, and our dogs train around the same beaches, parks and busy summer streets yours do. Choose private obedience lessons where you handle your own dog, or a sleep-over board and train where your dog stays with one of our trainers. Every program is listed on our plans and pricing page.
Why professional training is essential for North Myrtle Beach dog owners
Behavior modification
Address jumping, pulling, barking, anxiety, and reactivity at the root, not just the symptom.
Safety & control
A dog that listens the first time is a safer dog around traffic, livestock, wildlife, and people.
Stronger bond
Clear communication builds trust, so your dog looks to you for direction instead of guessing.
Skills that transfer
We hand the training over to you at pickup, so the obedience keeps working at home.
Family harmony
A calm, well-mannered dog means a calmer home for kids, guests, and other pets alike.
Our dog training programs for North Myrtle Beach dogs
Board and train with a trainer in their own home, private lessons, and programs built for puppies and reactive dogs. Here is how they break down.
Obedience lessons
Private, one-on-one lessons with a professional trainer. You handle your own dog the whole way, so the training goes home with you.
- Come, sit, place, heel, down, break and off
- Loose-leash walking and manners
- In-home lessons that come to you
Board & train
Your dog stays with one of our trainers in their home, not a kennel, with daily picture and video updates, then a hand-over session with you.
- One-week and two-week sleep-over programs
- Off-leash work in the two-week program
- A two-hour hand-over session at the end
Puppies and problem behavior
A head start for young puppies, and focused help for the problems a general obedience program does not solve on its own.
- Happy Puppy programs from 8 weeks
- Reactivity and aggression lessons
- Therapy dog preparation

Built for how North Myrtle Beach dogs actually live
From Cherry Grove down to Windy Hill, North Myrtle Beach is a town built around being outside. Dogs here walk past crowds on Main Street, meet other dogs at McLean Park, and share the sidewalks with summer visitors who all want to say hello.
That is exactly where a dog that is fine at home starts pulling, jumping on strangers, or ignoring you. We train for the real version of your day: calm greetings, a loose leash past other dogs, and a reliable come when it matters.
If your dog struggles around other dogs, start with our reactivity and aggression lessons. If you have a new puppy, our Happy Puppy programs start as young as eight weeks.
Where your dog will shine
- McLean Park
- North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex
- Heritage Shores Nature Preserve
- Main Street in the Ocean Drive section
- Barefoot Landing

“In her consultation she took time individually to meet with my dogs, interact with them to get a better feel for what training paths would be right for them”
“We put our 7 month old golden retriever puppy, Grady, in the one week board and train and could not be happier with the results!”
Frequently asked questions
Do you train dogs in North Myrtle Beach?
Yes. North Myrtle Beach is one of the main towns we serve. Private lessons meet at places chosen for your dog, our in-home lessons come to you, and in a board and train your dog stays with one of our trainers.
Where does my dog stay during board and train?
With one of our trainers, in their home, not in a kennel. You get daily updates with pictures or videos, and the program ends with a hand-over session that teaches you to keep the training going. See the board and train programs.
Can you help a dog that reacts to other dogs?
Yes. Our reactivity and aggression program is eight private lessons: the first four build basic obedience, and the last four work you and your dog around other dogs. Your dog needs to be comfortable wearing a muzzle before the first lesson.
How young can my puppy start?
Our Happy Puppy programs take puppies from 8 weeks to 23 weeks old. Private obedience lessons start at five months, and board and train at six months.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment plans are available. Call us today to learn more about payment options.
